This significant update to TerraTools 4.0 contains a mix of important TerraTools Core bug fixes, enhancements and speedups based on our new 64-bit native architecture, and version updates to various exporters. Highlights include:
TerraSim announces the release of Version 4.0 of TerraTools(R) Core, its 3D geospatial database construction product supporting correlated virtual and constructive simulation systems. TerraTools ingests of the largest variety of DoD, NGA, and ESRI vector, digital elevation, and 3D model formats. To achieve geospatial accuracy, TerraTools employs photogrammetically accurate source data reprojection between source and output coordinate systems and vertical datums.

TrianGraphics GmbH today announces the major release of Trian3D Builder 4.0 – a database generation system for detailed correlated 3D terrains of arbitrary size. The new software version will be showcased at ITEC 2011, booth E120. New features are road generation according to road construction rules with OpenDRIVE export for driving simulators, advanced building interiors and exteriors, new content and many workflow and performance improvements.
Pittsburgh, PA – TerraSim, Inc. has announced a new TerraTools(R) process for the automated generation of large area terrain databases that cover hundreds of one-degree cells. Using TerraTools Batch Mode, users can now generate simulation databases that cover very large areas using only a single TerraTools license and workstation. Batch Mode processes run without a user interface and generate detailed timing and process log files to support automated verification and validation for fully unattended large-scale geospatial data processing.
